Is This The Most Bizarre Pregnancy Craving Ever?

When you're pregnant, cravings can strike at absolutely any time, day or night.

The overwhelming urge to eat, drink, smell or touch whatever your pregnancy body is craving can be crazy. Some ladies don't experience any pregnancy cravings, while some can have the most bizarre ones.

Here at eumom HQ, we ended up talking about our own pregnancy cravings, and let's just say... things got a little weird.

Some of the team had pretty 'normal' cravings:

I ate Corn Flakes day and night" - Jennifer

I couldn't stop eating Rice Krispies. They are just so comforting and gentle on the tummy - Sharon

Boiled cabbage and tinned raspberries. Not at the same time, that would just be weird - Jennifer's Mom

And then the weirdest, most bizarre pregnancy craving we have ever heard of...

Lasagne Sandwiches.

Yes, you heard that right. Lasagne sandwiches. Specifically, with white bread and a little bit of butter. This particular team member would like to remain anonymous due to the downright oddness of her craving.

You know what's even weirder?

Lasagne sandwiches are totally a thing! We Googled it, and were shocked at the amount of pictures we found.

We were more shocked at how delicious they actually look...

The most interesting find from this bizarre conversation? Back in 2010, Tesco released their own range of Lasagne sandwiches.

Well. Maybe it's not as bizarre as we first thought?

Have you ever tried a lasagne sandwich? Are we totally late to the party? If you've had any weird or wonderful pregnancy cravings, let us know in the comments!

P.S. Most of the time, pregnancy cravings are totally normal, and totally harmless. As long as your diet is balanced and you are getting all the nutrients you and your baby need, there is no harm. However, if you find you're craving non-food items then always talk to your doctor or midwife to find out what's going on.

As always, we would love to hear your opinions. Please leave a comment below.
