My name is Aoibhin McGreal and I am a chartered physiotherapist and clinical specialist in women’s health. That means that in addition to ‘regular’ physiotherapy, I also specialise in treating women with pregnancy-related conditions, preparing women physically for labour, helping postnatal moms with their return to pre-pregnancy fitness and treating pelvic floor complaints. Depending on the condition, treatments range from hands-on techniques and massage to acupuncture, advice and personalised exercise programmes. I am currently practising in clinics in Kildare and Wicklow offering physiotherapy and pilates classes.Get physio advice from Aoibhin
Having gone through pregnancy, delivery and my first year as a mom, I have experienced first-hand some of the challenges and fears facing expectant moms. As an advanced pilates instructor, I found that exercise helped me through my own pregnancy and, in the months following the birth of my daughter, helped me to regain my core and pelvic floor strength. This is why I offer a complete postnatal assessment for new moms, so that they can be in control of their bodies following the birth of their little ones.
I am thrilled to be involved in the eumom forums and hope that I can help you with any aches, pains, pelvic floor problems or exercise queries you may have.Get physio advice from Aoibhin
