1. Coco

This might be a little too celebrity for you (think Courtney Cox and David Arquette), but this actually makes for a beautiful name – if you like chocolate. It’s short and sweet and would really let your little girl stand out.

2. Madeleine

In Hebrew it means “from the tower” and in French it means “woman of Magdala”. But in the world of dessert, it means “small sponge cakes dusted in icing sugar”. Delicious!

3. Charlotte

You might be thinking of little princess Charlotte, but we’re actually referring to a cake. A charlotte consists of stale bread dipped in butter to line the mould, but sponge cake or ladyfingers may also be used. The filling may be covered with a thin layer of similarly flavoured gelatin.

4. Ginger

Gingerbread, ginger cookies, ginger cake! This is a delicious name for your little girl. In Latin it means “from the ginger flower”. Very girly and very sweet.

5. Carmel

A little change to the delicious caramel, it also means “garden” in Hebrew.

6. Tira

Soaked in coffee and oh, so creamy! This name, inspired by the delicious tiramisu, is girly and very sweet. It also means “arrow” in Hindi and “land” in Scottish.

7. Clair

Inspired by the delicious creamy éclaire this is sure a beautiful name for your little girl. It can also be spelled Claire, or Clare. It means “clear” and “bright” in French.

8. Ambrosia

The perfect combination of different fruit (like pineapple, mandarin and orange) and marshmallows. It also means “food of the gods” in Greek and Indian. You can also try Amber.
