10 Cute Baby Boy Names Inspired By Your Granny and Grandad

1. Archie

A variation of Archibald but much cuter shortened and it means “Truly brave”.

2. Edward

Meaning “Rich guard”, Edward is of English origin and is often shortened to Ned, Ed or Eddie.

3. Gordon

A Scottish name meaning “Spacious fort”.

4. Marvin

Ok, not my favourite name in the world but it is Welsh in origin and means “By the sea”.

5. Sylvester

This name makes me immediately think of Sly Stallone and Sylvester and Tweety and is definitely underused and underrated. With the right surname, this Latin name could be amazing!

6. Alfred

An Anglo Saxon name meaning “King” and is very often shortened to either Alfie or Freddie which are both adorable!

7. Arthur

Who wouldn’t want to name their little guy after a king? It is Celtic and means “Bear” and you could call him Artie. How cute is that?

8. Walter

Walt/Walter are Germanic in origin and mean “Ruler of an army” and of course you could say you named him after the inspirational Mr Disney!

9. Charles

Charlie is probably the younger variation of the German name. Of course you could use regal inspiration and keep the full name in circulation!

10. Frank

Frances/Frankie/Frank; all cute names for little boys that translate smoothly to older ages.
