If you like the sound of eating some deliciously tasty treats while raising money for a really worthy charity, then we have the perfect event for you!
Moms, Dads and little ones are invited to come along to the Fyffes Kitchen and help themselves to a tasty frozen banana-pop, coupled with melted chocolate and a variety of toppings. All discretionary donations received will go directly to Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
Fruit importer Fyffes is taking to the road with their new ‘pop up kitchen’, as part of a series of charity undertakings to raise funds for new multisensory equipment at Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

Commenting on what she termed ‘a tasty ap-peel’ on behalf of a worthy children’s charity, Fyffes marketing manager Emma Hunt-Duffy said: “Following the success of our National Banana Day fundraising initiative, our aim is to continue supporting the very important work being done by Temple Street Children’s Hospital, whilst reminding families how tasty, healthy and versatile bananas are”.
Denise Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of Temple Street Foundation says, “We are thrilled that Fyffes will once again be supporting Temple Street Foundation at their delicious Pop Up Kitchens around the county following their fantastic Banana Day fundraiser for our special hospital. The funds raised will help us purchase multi-sensory equipment that is used by patients of all ages for relaxation, stimulation and stress release. Our heartfelt thanks to Fyffes for all their work on behalf of sick children in Temple Street.”
