Pre-school Inspection Reports – Do you Know How to Access Them?

EDUCATION: The new Child and Family Agency, which launched in January as an amalgamation of several HSE family services, has published more than 2,500 pre-school inspection reports online for parents to review.

"I am advising parents to access these reports and where they are not online to ask childcare providers for copies of the inspection reports," said Minister for Children & Youth Affairs Frances Fitzgerald. "Parent power is important in this area and all good providers will make sure their reports are available to parents when asked."

The pre-school reports are available via the Child and Family Agency's website. Currently, inspection reports from before July 1st 2013 are being published, and will be completed in the coming months. All inspection reports since July 1st 2013 are available on an ongoing basis, including the childcare providers' responses, where available.
