Dealing With Fertility Issues

It is not always easy to become pregnant, and couples who are struggling with fertility problems can become quite discouraged.

That being said, it is important to note that just because you have difficulty getting pregnant does not mean that you will not be able to become pregnant. There are couples out there with healthy happy children that took years to conceive.

To help you in your journey to becoming parents, here are a few tips to help you cope with fertility problems and become pregnant.

The first thing you should do if you have been trying to conceive for a long period of time but have not been successful is to contact your doctor for advice. Your doctor can help diagnose any physical issues, and help you to deal with your fertility concerns. The longer you wait to diagnosis these issues, the more difficult it may become to get pregnant.

If you are a smoker, it is now time to quit because smoking most definitely affects your level of fertility and reduces your conception chances. Men also need to stop smoking because the fertility problem may not lie with the woman. Men who smoke often have lower sperm counts than those who do not.

You will want to keep your weight under control as well. Many people do not think too much of being a bit overweight, but it can make conception more difficult. Women who are underweight can also have fertility issues. The best way to deal with weight related fertility issues is to maintain an optimal weight for someone of your height. Be conscious of what you eat, and make sure your diet is healthy. Getting plenty of regular exercise can also be beneficial.

Make sure your personal hygiene is up to par. This means that you need to properly care for and clean your genital area. You should not use products in your vagina that could affect the normal pH and healthy environment. Products such as vaginal gels or spray can cause many different side effects that can cause a hostile environment for any sperm that is deposited.

You should also be aware of the best time to have intercourse. This means that you should become aware of the times when you are most fertile and act upon them. Do not be afraid to make use of a calendar and mark your fertile times, and ovulation periods. Talk to your partner so that he is aware of the best times as well. It is very important that you take full advantage of your most fertile periods to increase your overall odds of becoming pregnant.

Finally, it is important that you enjoy your lovemaking sessions. If you feel as though they are becoming a chore and you feel a great deal of pressure and stress, you may actually be working against yourself. Do not pressure yourself into thinking you are only doing this act for one reason; just to conceive. Instead, just enjoy lovemaking as you would any other time and relax.

As always, we would love to hear your opinions. Please leave a comment below.

ours seem to have been a struggle before we really knew what was wrong with me. i have been in marriage for 6 years and all things looked perfect except the conception. finally, the doctors diagnosed a genetic issue with me and only advice that i opt for surrogacy or IVF with limited chances.
the task of looking for the right clinic wasn't easy, some to the far east, India and Ukraine. my hubby is supportive and we recently stumbled upon one clinic in Ukraine. though still planning the modalities of travel, this seems to be our only hope with the good reviews they have. their cost is manageable since they cover for pick up at the airport and accommodation. they promise to solve the issue of egg as they have fresh eggs n their database. we have been making daily contacts t ensure everything is fine. i understand its a popular point for Americans and Europeans, what do you think? please advice.
