eumom childcare expert – Natalie Collier

I am Natalie Collier childcare recruitment specialist.

I am passionate about what I do and determined to find the best possible solution for each family I work with. I have over ten years' experience working with children and families in several different childcare settings and have learned through this first-hand experience that no two families are alike when it comes to childcare needs.

With so many conflicting ideas about childcare solutions in Ireland, I have come to know many parents who feel overwhelmed, misinformed, confused and often just don't know where to begin. There is so much to think of when choosing childcare, such as budget, location, full- or part-time care, children's ages, special needs care, parents' peace of mind and, most importantly, the well-being of the children. This is exactly where I can help.

This year, I launched my new business, The National Childcare Agency, to provide practical advice on all childcare options available in Ireland and help families find the right solution – whether it be a nanny, childminder, au pair, Crèche or any other available alternatives. I firmly believe that when a family finds the best possible solution, they will have happy, healthy, secure and content children.

I look forward to sharing my knowledge and working together with you to guide you in all of your childcare related queries and challenges.

Hello,
I have a 9 month old baby. He was a great sleeper until he started teething at 4 months. Now he was in the habit of going to bed at 8.30pm/9pm waking at 2 for his soother and 4am for his bottle and getting up for the day at 6am. However for the last 4 nights in a row, he wakes up on the hour every hour screaming and it takes an hour to put him back to sleep. A bottle will not work, nor his soother. Picking him up and soothing him, patting his back, singing to him, nothing. He starts this at 12am. He sleeps for about 3 to 4 hours a day. Started reducing the amount of bottles he gets to up his food intake. Please tell me how to stop this awful sleep pattern. Health nurse and doc tells me he shouldn't be waking at night for bottle to stop giving it to him 🙈 but how can I when it's the only thing that works 🙈
