Hi, I’m Trish Kelly Director of BabyStepsForYou.com, along with my husband Brendan. We founded our financial advisory firm in 2000. Over the years it has grown into a very successful business with many satisfied clients. Our commitment and advice to our clients is crucial to the success of our business.
At BabySteps, we offer a wide range of financial services from insurance, mortgage, investment and retirement planning.
I’ve been in the financial services sector for the past 22 years, initially with First Active PLC followed by Ulster Bank, prior to joining FinancialPlanner.ie full time in 2006. I am also a fully Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) specialising in Life assurance, Pensions and Mortgages.
As a mother of three children age 6, 11 and 13, I am very much aware of the costs involved in bringing up children. I would strongly encourage women to create a financial plan for their future and that of their family. Your financial plan should include your ability to own a home, plan for the unexpected and of course, retire without the fear of outliving your money. Women are highly intuitive and can make great investment choices. Why is this important? It’s no secret women tend to live longer than their male counterparts. As a result, women have an even greater need to plan for their future and to save for retirement.
Mothers with young children and expectant mothers may not realise the important features that come with life assurance and serious illness plans for example; one life company pays out automatically €5000 for preeclampsia during pregnancy if you hold a life policy with them. Furthermore serious illness plans cover children under an adult plan from 30 days old to 18 years old. I Would be delighted to talk to you about how I can help you plan your financial future.
I look forward to writing for eumom.ie and giving financial advice to this brilliant community.
