Baby’s Development – Week 30
Your baby is busy figuring out her coordination and using her little feet this week. Pushing herself up on her hands and knees, she’ll and rock back and forth as if she’s about to take off! Give her loads of encouragement and time to practise her new skills!
Vitamin C is also very important in the first few years to boost your baby’s immune system and to help absorb iron. Citrus fruits and tomatoes are high in Vitamin C, and are ideal for young babies.
Moving onto meat
Your baby might now be ready for small portions of puréed meat and other proteins such as lentils. Introduce one new food at a time, waiting a couple of days in case of an allergic reaction.
Back to you
If you’ve been neglecting mom, it might be time to start introducing the all-important ‘me time’. This is a sacred hour or two every couple of days to pamper, preen, do whatever it takes to make you feel great. A gloriously scented bubble bath by candle light. Lazing on your bed reading your favourite mag, soft tunes in the background. Whatever makes you feel like you, take the time to do it – the newly refreshed, relaxed and renewed mom is good for the whole family!
