Baby’s Development – Week 11
By 11 weeks, your baby may be able to turn her head to look at you when she hears your voice. She may also be able to keep her head steady, and in line with the rest of her body, when she is pulled up to a supported, seated position.
Your baby’s physical development
Your 11-week-old is learning quickly how to use her body and move in a more co-ordinated way. While she is on her tummy, she may now be able to push off with her legs. Make sure you give her plenty of space to move around and strengthen her muscles. You’ll be thrilled to see the first big milestones in her physical development.
Your baby is still a few months away from being able to talk, but you will notice her beginning to communicate with her voice. She may babble or make gurgling sounds. During this special time, you may pick up on your baby’s personality emerging through her voice – she may even laugh out loud!
Your baby may now be feeding 5 times per 24 hour period. If you don’t have to feed in the middle of the night, make sure you take advantage of the extra sleep! Time your longer night-time sleep to fit in with your little one's routine. It’s important to get as much sleep as possible, to boost your immune system and feel refreshed!
