Hi

Its been 2 weeks since i gave birth, I recieved an episiotomy and am still recovering from the stitches. I found this week that the bleeding has started to reduce. Getting a greenish colour on my maternity pad, but today i notice the bleeding has returned. Not alot but I noticed it in my pad. Is this normal? has anyone else suffered the same sort of thing.

Hi there, I had my little fella 13 weeks ago and I bled for almost 4 weeks after. Some days it was heavier than others and I found it depended on how busy I was - if I was out and about it seemed heavier than if I was home all day.
I had my baby in Holles Street and I nust have rang back into the ward I was on five times the first month I was home with different questions! The nurses were only too happy to answer a quick question so maybe you could ring your maternity hospital if your worried?
I didn't have green discharge but I have heard it can be red, brown green and even yellow! lovely ;)

I bled for 4.5 months after my section. Had blood test, ultrasounds, swabs etc. done & all was fine, one day it just stopped. While this is unusual it can happen, just putting it out there because people had me worried that it wasn't normal but it turns out it was normal for me, we're all different !
