Hi Men, Just wanted to thank you for your patience and understanding during this whole ttc thing. I know its not been easy, and you've had to put up with our mad hormonal swings, which can't be fun ... they're not great from where we're sitting so must be 100 times worse for you! As you know, us women have a tendancy to want to multitask in everything, so a lot of what we're doing - taking temperatures, checking mucus, funny positions in bed, and pathologically praying over our monitors - may seem a bit cracked to you, but it helps give us the illusion that we're in charge of our bodies! And we appreciate you putting up with it all.
The reason why I'm rambling like this, is that me & DH are shorting going for our second attempt at IUI. For some strange, unfathomable reason, DH decided over christmas to grow a beard. Personally I wasn't over-thrilled with it, but eventually asked him why he was growing the beard. He said that all daddies have beards. It was then that it struck me just how much this means not just to us as a couple or to me alone, but to him as well. And I guess it means a lot to the rest of you menfolk as well!
So I'm not going to say any more to DH about the beard. I guess I'm starting to get used to it. And I'll leave him do all the little improvements on the house so it'll be "childproofed" and I'm happy for him to research which cars have the best safety records. Cos just as I'm trying to prepare for motherhood, he's trying to prepare for fatherhood too!
So carry on with your preparations. We're very proud of you. Keep on eating the brazil nuts for the zinc to keep your swimmers in tip top condition; continue having lots of meals with cooked tomatoes in them, cos it helps keep your hardware working perfectly (and is better than having a stranger copping a feel while you "cough"!).
And with a bit of luck, you'll be a daddy very soon.
