Ah Cookie - thats great that Chris is taking a few steps! the boys are always way more adventurous! Kristina loves when we throw her around the place! But isnt brave enough to try to walk - when i hold her hands she walks along but looks like she's walking on the moon cos she takes huge steps lol!

Dragon girl - you must be so relieved to have a date now! I hope you have a quick and relatively pain free delivery! Are you havin the epidural? Does someone here have you mobile number that you can text us the good news? I would send you mine but I havent got a new one yet! I'm all excited for you now - a new baby!

Hope everyone else is well - Kristina has started waking up at 5am for a bottle! But in fairness she goes back to sleep if Leo lets her! He is the loudest child - I actually wear earplugs some days cos I'm just not able to be listening to him!

DH was the very same on my 2 pregnancies Dragongirl - even when I was only 5mts! I would getup at night to pee (as you do!) and he would jump up in the bed and say Are you ok - is it time! It used to drive me bonkers!

Only 2 days to go pet!

Dragon!! Best of luck girlie!! I am sure you will fly through it!

Just on here because we are trying to arrange a meet up (Moms + Friend or Moms on their own) for us all soon. I know you are not all on Facebook so I thought I would post it up here too.

We are currently trying to choose a location and a date.

So far Waterford seems to be the most popular choice and either the 18th or 25th of September are dates that I have suggested just to set the ball rolling.

Hope you are all keeping well, I have not been on here in ages - so much so that the new layout was a bit of a suprise!

If you have any suggestions about places to go or dates let me know.

Talk soon,

Denise

Hi girls

Dragon girl, wow you must be getting very excited! Best of luck and let us know as soon as you get a chance how it all goes!

Wow Joe and Chris walking now! Can't believe how grown up they are getting! Ben is flying around the place holding onto things and has taken a few little steps when encouraged but not really walking yet!

He had his check up today with hearing test etc. All grand thank god.

He's in his cot now but these nights he is in our bed usually by about 10pm with me. Means I have to go to bed early but don't mind too much. We're thinking of getting him a bed as he won't sleep in the cot! It's worth a try I suppose!

My job is going grand but its hard to get up early and go to work when you've had a bad night. I do so much driving with the job too that I sometimes feel its dangerous as I'm so tired! But sure its money so I shouldn't complain!

I'm thinking of going back on the celebrity slim diet as it worked well for me in january. I am terrible for not sticking with things though so we'll see what happens. I have no time these days for exercise either so I am piling on the weight.

Glad2be were you on celebrityslim recently? Are you still on it and how's it going? I need some motivation!

Girls a meet up sounds great! Are we bringing babies or not? Either way count me in as would love to meet you all.

Anyone feeling broody lately? I have been thinking about trying for another one the last week or so. I must be mad as have just started new job and don't know how I'd afford a second child but is that a reason not to have one? Also I find Ben hard enough to handle as its so full on so how would I cope with 2? My head is a mess thinking about it. I'm not sure how we'd even go about it as Ben is in the bed the whole time lol!

I have been keeping up with the posts but sure have forgotten most of the news so sorry for not commenting on stuff, its hard to scroll back on the new layout!

Hi to everyone who'se still reading!

Hailey I'm with you on the broodiness! Then again I'm always broody! I'm after losing a stone since starting CS 5 weeks ago - its great! I was walking every day aswell but for the last 2 weeks I havent been up to it so I only lost a pound last week! I've been good this week tho so hopefully I will lose something!

Thats great that Bens hearing test went well - you must be relieved! As for how to afford another  one - you just manage it somehow! We are far from flush at the moment and TTC so if we can do it anyone can! With the 2nd one you wont make the same mistakes you made with the first so Ben will prbably still be in your bed while number 2 will be happy to snuggle up in the cot! Kristina was always happier in her own bed whereas Leo is like a leech still lol! He sleeps in his own bed now tho TG! He's a right sprawler - we'd be shoved out of the bed if he was in it!

Good to hear from you Hailey.  Chris is in a toddler bed.  He stays in in most nights.  Usually once a week he climbs out and cries at the gate.  He sleeps so much better in the bed plus you can snuggle into the bed with them for their bedtime story.  He comes into our bed at about 6 but we dont mind as long as we get another hours sleep.    He isnt walking yet three steps is the max he now claps himself when he does it. Doesn't half love himself

These new smilies rock

What a kid am I?

when Chris was born I got a photo frame with spaces for pics from birth up to 12 months and i was going through my extensive photo collection to pick out photos and I found myself getting broody   Babies with their cuteness huh

Glad2b a stone well done.

cookie the new smileys do rock glad they brought back the old ones finally. Yay for chris on the walking. he wil be flying round in no time. Joe is getting lazy as in will only walk now if i bend down for him and he gets all chuffed out with himself too. loooooves all the praise.

Thank god he is better. Wat a dose poor mite.

Hailey good to see Ben is doing well. I dont know how u do it as in up during the night and then have to get up early. Im so glad that i work evenings. Joe usually takes a nap after his breckie and can sleep for up to 2hrs if Im in the bed. oohhh its heaven. He sleeps grand in his cot tg but some morning he will come into bed but tbh we really dont mind especially if we get an hr xr=tra sleep

As for feeling broody Im so bad. weve been trying since b4xmas but tbh dont hold out much hope. took over 2yrs for joe to come along and I aint o spring chick at 34

ok Im starting to waffle. Im terrible

tis new layout is a bummer when u cant read back.

Hi glad,

Morning girls

Ben stayed in his cot til 4am last night, I kept asking DP where's Ben as though he might have rolled on him as couldn't see him! Then I was lying there trying to stop myself from going to check on him in his room!

haha laughing at your posts piggy, you're mad! As for the trying for a baby keep at it as you never know! I'm an older spring chicken than you !

Glad2be you have done brilliantly on the cs, well done! I am so motivated now going to start properly again on Tuesday and really stick to it. I kept thinking if I can do it for 5 weeks I will have lost a stone so fingers crossed! You should keep going with it and we can motivate each other.

Cookie thats gas about Chris in the bed! Where did you buy it? I'm thinking it would be great if I could get Ben a low bed so he doesn't have far to fall! Is there such a thing?

We're heading to west cork for the long weekend so need to go and get the car sorted and packed.

While I've been typing this Ben has now emptied the dog's water bowl everywhere! And now he is reaching for a knife on the kitchen table. There's a reason i don't get on here much anymore!

Have a great weekend girls!

Your posts are so funny piggy

Hailey I got the bed in symths I was kinda soory afterwards I didn't buy a proper single as you can get really low down ones. But they are a little pricey for us right now so bought a toddler bed. If he stays in it until he is 3 then we will get our moneys worth. Enjoy west Cork

Is it just me or are boys trouble.  You couldn't watch them they are so fast and are always into something they shouldn't be. At least they still have naps

Hailey there is a thread on the "help need to lose weight"  weight and fitness forum and there are  afew of us doing CS there if you wanna join! Also DH just sawed off half of the legs on our single bed for Leo and now its at fouton height - so its ideal - its cheaper than buying a toddler bed! HTH!"

Just stuffed my face with 2 galaxy cake bars cos i am after a load of wine and had the munchies! Bold me!  I will be good tomorrow!

Hi p&s - its called Celebrity Slim - its kinda like Slim Fast you drink shakes instead of meals and they have a range of snack bars which are yummy! You can buy it in boots or Sam McCauleys - its E42 for the starter pack - you get your shakes for the week and 2 soups to try and a booklet of information and a food diary - its E32 a week after that. I just weighg myself in the chemist every week. HTH

Hi ladies,

It's quiet on here today!! Hope you all hain d a lovely bank holiday weekend. We had a wedding so two very late nights and a full day yesterday in my pyjamas. I'm still not feeling one hundred percent.

CONGRATULATIONS Dragon girl!! I'm assuming you're the first from our birth club to have another baby. Hope he's good for you and you start feeling back to your old self soon!! As far as the broodiness goes, I'm definitely not ready for another little monster yet. For a million reasons. I feel the longer since I had Doireann the further I want to push the next one back. Childcàre is SO expensive!! And I'm enjoying having my body back after bf for so long. If it happens it happens but I won't be "trying" for a good while.

Anyway I can't really stay on! A college friend just rang to say she's on her way so I have to move some of the mess upstairs. Chat soon.
