Hi
Just wondering if any of you have any advice on the Jane Powertwin buggy. Expecting twins in Nov and like the look of this buggy on line. Have yet to see it in the flesh (as such). How does it compare with the Icandy pear?

I have the jane twin two and its brill you can put 2 matrix cup car seats on top (they fold down into prams) also it is suitable for twins from birth as both seats recline fully i also have firstwheel city twin with pram tops and used this for the babies to sleep in downstairs and great for out and about check them out i didnt like the icandy as you cant see the baby in the bottom pram!

I've used two double buggies (jane powertwin and out and about nipper) Here's what i've learned from experience. They all have their pros and cons. There is no perfect double buggy. I'd recommend getting a light one, one with pneumatic tyres (so much easier to push). The jane powertwin is a great buggy 13.75kg. Back seat lies flat for newborn and toddler sits up front (my ds was only 13months when i had baby 2). Very easy to push, i can do it with one hand. Turns really easily, has a disc break which is great if you're going down hill. easy to fold and not too bulky. will fit through all doorways as it's as narrow as a single 60cm. I find it great for going around super markets and country roadways too as it'll manage on any terrain. To use from new born for twins you'd need to use the carseats with it first. The negatives of it - not much really that i can think of to be honest, the front seat reclines a bit but not flat.
The out and about nipper. - great buggy also. It's only 9kg, has a great hood on it. I tend to use it for walks on a county road. It is wider than the jane 77cm. So won't fit through very narrow doors. But i find i'd get into most shops with it (very few shops have narrow doors now). Both seats can recline fully. very light to push and turns really easily too. a little harder to fold and unfold than the jane. But not difficult.

I wouldn't be a fan of any of the plastic wheel ones (safety first/cosatto) But it's all a personal choice. Donedeal is a good website to pick up second hand double buggies. The jane and out and about would hold their value well.

HI, can recommend Out and About Nipper also. Have used it form the start with the small baby inserts and found it great. Check out what buggy will fit in the boot of your car, and weight of the things also. I have a bad back so the Jane was a no-go for me from the start. My advise would be to road test them from a shop and then buy on-line, you'll save an absolute fortune. We used the web for all our big purchases and have had no problems, touch wood! Get the buggy guide form the IMBA when you join, it was great help too. Best of luck,
Monnie
